Tips for Safe Trick-or-Treating
Halloween is no longer just celebrated on one evening on October 31st. It’s become a month-long festivity of decorating, indulging on candy and sweets, scary haunts and parties, and community events. While the days are shorter, that also means that our kids will likely be trick-or-treating on All Hollow’s Eve in the dark so it’s important to keep some safety tips in mind.

  1. Make sure that you have a reliable flashlight like the HANDI with you at all times. The HANDI has a built-in battery which can be charged by its USB cable. When it is fully charged, it will brighten the way for 10 hours as flashlight – more than enough time to fill several trick-or-treat totes with candy.
  2. Children should always trick or treat with an adult
  3. Have children wear a glow bracelet or glow stick necklace so that they can be easily seen
  4. Always walk on the sidewalk between homes and don’t forget the check for cars
  5. Avoid wearing a costume that is too long to avoid tripping
  6. And of course, always make sure that candy wrappers are sealed before indulging on any candy.

Happy Halloween!
